The high school for other districts
In February 2025 East Hampton signed a new five-year tuition agreement with Montauk, Springs and Amagansett, subject to voter approval on the May 2025 ballots and state sign-off. According to The East Hampton Star, those districts agreed to send all their graduating students exclusively to East Hampton, except special-education students who need out-of-district services, in return for a 5 percent discount. General-education tuition was set at $27,000 for 2025-26, rising to $29,054 by the end of the contract. The Star reported that Sagaponack and Wainscott were expected to sign a five-year agreement for certain elementary and secondary grades while keeping similar contracts with Bridgehampton and Sag Harbor. See Montauk, Springs and Amagansett.
