The Springs Union Free School District operates the Springs School, which educates students from pre-kindergarten through grade 8. It had 690 students in fall 2024, the biggest enrollment of any PreK-8 school in this table. Springs also has the most renter households of any East Hampton Town hamlet here, 916, so year-round rentals in Springs tie directly to this school.
After grade 8
Springs signed a five-year tuition agreement with East Hampton in February 2025, subject to voter approval and state sign-off. According to The East Hampton Star, Springs, Montauk and Amagansett agreed to send all their graduating students exclusively to East Hampton. The Star reported that 105 seniors were expected to graduate from East Hampton High School from Springs in 2025, with an incoming freshman class of just over 60. See the East Hampton district page.
Registering
The school lists a Student Registration (Registro de Estudiantes) link among its parent resources. The district office is at 48 School St, East Hampton, NY 11937, phone (631)324-0144. The state’s rules on residency proof are in enrolling a new student.
