Westhampton Beach School District

Elementary, middle and high schools that also take older students from neighboring K-6 districts.

Published by Liberty Design Studio

The Westhampton Beach School District has 1,625 students in three schools on one campus: the elementary school for kindergarten to grade 5 (298 students), the middle school for grades 6 to 8 (357) and the high school for grades 9 to 12 (970). The district says it serves students from the villages of Westhampton Beach and Quogue and the hamlets of Westhampton, East Quogue, Quiogue, Remsenburg-Speonk and East Moriches. Looking at the area? Registering

The district’s registration page sets two proofs of residency. The first is a mortgage statement, tax bill or lease, and the page pairs it with a second document. It also asks for the child’s original birth certificate or passport. Families can complete the packet online or email the registration office to request one by mail. For Universal Pre-K, a child must live within the district and turn four on or before December 1 of the school year in which the program begins.

Why this district matters beyond its own borders

Three neighboring districts end at grade 6: Quogue, East Quogue and Remsenburg-Speonk. Their older students go to Westhampton Beach schools, and Remsenburg-Speonk residents may instead choose Eastport-South Manor. So a rental in any of those hamlets points to this high school. The main office is at 340 Mill Rd, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978, phone (631)288-3800.
