Museums and cinemas open in winter

Cultural venues that run all year give a quieter East End a calendar. This page lists the hours three of them posted in October 2026, because opening days and closures for installations change. Dates for specific exhibitions and screenings go out of date within weeks, so this page leaves them out. For restaurants open in winter, use Eat Hamptons’ winter list.

Parrish Art Museum, Water Mill

The Parrish is at 279 Montauk Highway in Water Mill (631-283-2118). Its regular hours are Thursday through Monday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; it is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. The museum grounds are open daily, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shop keeps the museum’s hours. The café is open Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. See the Water Mill profile.

Guild Hall, East Hampton

Guild Hall is at 158 Main Street in East Hampton. In October 2026 it posted gallery hours Thursday to Sunday, noon to 5 p.m., and noted that the galleries would be closed from October 26 through November 7 for the installation of new exhibitions, with the lobby box office open Fridays only during that time. Admission is $12, or $10 for seniors 65 and older, and free for members, children, students, active military and veterans. See the East Hampton profile.

Sag Harbor Cinema

The Sag Harbor Cinema describes itself as a state-of-the-art triplex in the village of Sag Harbor, a community-based cinema. Its website lists advance screenings, special screenings and a third-floor exhibition gallery in October 2026. Check the site for the current schedule.
